Meet The Host
Steve Sue
Da Shaka Man | @histevesue
Steve Sue is one of those guys that knows a little bit about a lot of things: he’s therefore fairly useless, except perhaps as a podcast host. That said, he’s infinitely curious, completely extroverted and always ready for action.
Steve’s single claim to fame is that he’s an expert on the Shaka gesture. He acquired deep knowledge on the subject as the producer/writer/questor of the film, “Shaka, A Story of Aloha,” a feature-length documentary that explores the origins, meanings and applications of the Shaka gesture. The film has ignited Project Shaka, a movement featuring programs that activate aloha including the film, school curriculum, arts projects and the Shaka Stars show. All Project Shaka programs are produced by nonprofit, ID8 (ide•ate), a Hawaii-based 501C3 organization where Steve serves as Chairperson.
